Many of you will know that Shirley RT 494 is now a member of World 94, a group of Round Tables linked by the number 94. This includes Tables from Belgium, Denmark, France, India, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden and South Africa.

Shirley has visited several of these countries in the last few years and from

Friday 22th to Sunday 24th June 2012

it will be Shirley Round Table’s turn to host WORLD 94.

The current Chairman of SRT Gary Phipps is chairing the Organising Committee for 2012.

Soooooo… what has this got to do with an ex Tabler (from a long time ago!!!) like me. I was able to attend the World 94 in India 2010 and have offered my organisational skills to coordinate ACCOMMODATION. We expect around 70 visitors (couples and singles) in 2012 because we will be so very accessible to all of the countries – yes even India. All are expected to be home hosted for 2 nights. SRT needs the help of all the Clubs to make this happen.
 

The plea:

Don’t book a holiday over that weekend. (You would be missing out on some fantastic International Fellowship, for one thing ....!)

Please consider whether you can help with accommodation next year. It engenders more fellowship if hosts can accommodate TWO couples (or more!) or ONE couple and a single etc.
Hosts will be paid (we think generously) for each guest but will be expected to offer B & B, provide everyday hospitality and act as taxi driver as well as being able to join the activities over the weekend.

I know it is a long way off, please will you give it some consideration and let me know (one way or another) YES (and how many you can accommodate) or NO
