Saturday Night Fancy Dress Hoe Down
Friday Night Presidents Ball - several of our Club went along in the evening. There was a local wind band to play many themed tunes of a 'Western' flavour, and then of course they moved on to play all the usual old favourites, Dambusters, Jerusalem, and Land of Hope and Glory!
There was much merriment, some standing on chairs (as usual!) and lots of loud singing!
Once this was over, there were a few words spoken, then the evening progressed to a live band playing some good music, including Blondie numbers etc.
A great night all round, and to be recommended for those contemplating whether to go next year, it is an excellent night!
Further activities attended were the Thursday night Welcome Party in the magnificent Council House, the Friday Night Presidents' Ball, and the Final Night Fancy Dress Hoe Down, both of which were held at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in their new Conference suite.
